The St. Thomas Aquinas Lady Knights would take on their rival the Central Catholic Crusaders Thursday night at Walsh University and would have their strongest defensive effort of the season to earn a 49-24 win.

Aquinas would jump out early in the first quarter and never look back in the most complete game of the season. The Knights would find themselves up 22-10 going into halftime before putting up 15 points in the 3rd to put the game away. The Knights would be led in scoring by senior Cassie Duplin’s game-high 23 points. But beyond scoring, Aquinas would be led by a dominating on the ball defense by Emily Moeglin and Kylee Knott. On the night, Aquinas would gather 16 steals and would turn them into points on the other end. Arissa Samblanet, Avery Bussey, and Haley Overdorf would gather 7 steals as well as the Knights would pull away for good.
