The Lady Knights welcomed in the JFK Eagles on Monday night and they would use a energized defense, and hot shooting, to come out with a 76-25 victory. The Knights would play their most complete game of the season, and would knock down 13 three pointers on the night, the most since the 1988-89 season.

The night would start off with high energy defense that would help the Knights jump out to a 19-6 first quarter lead. Senior Hayley Smith would score 9 of her game high 28 points in the quarter. Hayley would also finish with her 10th double-double of the season. Addison Mucci would keep the defensive effort going, tallying 6 steals on the evening along with a career high 2 blocked shots for the point guard. Mucci would finish with 17 points, hitting 5 three pointers on the evening.

Erica Warren paced the team with a strong defensive gathering 13 rebounds and scoring 10 points on the night. Erica would be a spark in many fast break opportunities and held JFK’s all-time leading scorer to just 11 points.

The Knights would also set a school record of 24 assists on the night, the record was set in 1987-88, and tied in 2014-15 with 23.

The Knights will be back in action on Wednesday at CVCA.
