The Knights traveled to Tuscarawas Central Catholic on Monday night to take on the 8-4 Saints and Aquinas would walk away with a 59-24 victory on the evening. Points were hard to come by early as a tough TCC team would pack the lane and make things tough early as Aquinas would only hold a 13-8 first quarter lead. Team pressure would be turned up in the second by all players and would force the Saints into 8 turnovers in the 2nd quarter, and they would turn into easy points. Erica Warren would score 10 of her game-high 20 points in the quarter and St. Thomas would go on a 23-1 run that would push the Knights up 36-9 at half.

Aquinas would show what type of team they could be defensively and would hold TCC’s leading scorer to just 1 point on the night,. It was St. Thomas’ best overall performance of the season. Hayley Smith would pour in 17 points and grab 13 rebounds on the night, and sophomore Meredith Ramsey would knock down 3 three pointers to finish the night with 11.

Aquinas will be back in action Wednesday evening as they take on East Canton at home.
